Water Crystals

FamilyLove 300x199 Water Crystals Dear friend,

In early 2000 Dr. Masaru Emoto gave us a breakthrough in understanding how our thoughts and feelings can alter our surroundings and directly affect the well-being of our bodies.  In a “Water Crystal Photographic Experiment”, by using top of the range high-speed technology, Dr. Emoto took photos of frozen iced water after it had been subject to both positive and negative vibrational frequencies (energy).

When Dr. Emoto exposed the frozen water to negative thoughts, feelings and words such as “hate”, “devil”, “war”, “filth”, “discouragement” and “bitterness”, the water produced broken and disfigured crystals that were clearly not in harmony with one another.  However, when the water was exposed to individuals releasing thoughts, feelings and words of “love”, “compassion”, “gratitude”, “happiness”, “eternity”, “appreciation”, “abundance”, “beauty” and “encouragement”, it produced beautiful crystals shaped in the most spectacular way.

Our bodies are mostly composed of liquid so it’s easy to see how detrimental it is to our health to be continuously angry, pessimistic and complaining about problems.

Thanks to Dr. Emoto’s extensive research, we are given a clear demonstration of what many of the great spiritual teachers taught us thousands of years ago. We can see that to “love thy neighbour” is not just a romantic virtue but a healing energy which brings happiness, joy and wonder into our lives.  You can start right now, in this moment, to feel and express positive and creative energy to you and your loved ones, gently encouraging them to do the same.

Quality

twin lakes toiyabe national forest california 300x225 Quality

Dear friend,

How many times have you heard the expression “quality over quantity”?  Unfortunately the deeper meaning behind it is gravely overlooked by millions of human beings. Quality doesn’t just mean accumulating designer clothes, 5 star holidays or sports cars. The spiritual realization behind “quality over quantity” is that every action we take throughout the day ought to be honoured and given our full attention. Saving “special” occasions to bring beauty and excellence into the stream of life is a poor and shabby way to live.

The more quality you place into the most subtle tasks you undertake throughout the day, the more you will set a vibrational frequency of excellence that flows into whatever you do. Observe a human being when they make a cup of tea. Do they rush and pour water all over the kitchen table or do they gently serve it with calmness? When you are listening to another human being, are you thinking about other objectives or are you present and honouring their engagement with you? By placing quality into everyday activities, we carry a feeling of well-being, affluence, abundance and inner-peace. This serene energy will dictate what future occurrences unfold.

In another words, if we are sloppy with our “less important” tasks, the future will be shallow and have low quality outcomes. The means is just as worthy as the ends, simply because they are one. The feeling you put into the “means” dictates the feeling of the “end”. The next time you find yourself rushing and dishonouring what is happening right now, hoping to “get” somewhere else, pause for a moment, breathe deeply and give your full attention to what you are doing. This is the art of paying attention to detail.

Downtime

2womenMeditating1 300x198 DowntimeDear friend,

In today’s fast paced world, it can be easy to get lost in the creative process of doing, action and manifesting new ideas. Making new things happen is fun. After all, this world is a playground to co-create our reality with the universe. However, when the sole purpose of one’s life becomes lost in “doing” rather than “being”, mental and emotional suffering will dominate one’s experience.

Many people take holidays hoping to unwind.  However, even in a serene location, the stream of compulsive thinking and emotions often prevents one from actually being present to enjoy the vacation. What’s the point of sitting on a white beach in Thailand if one is thinking about London or the next goal? (I have done this).

Taking regular downtime is essential for us to connect with a deeper level of consciousness, to rejuvenate the body and still the mind. Most of us have full packed days dominated by activities and duties of all sorts. This can be a worthy excuse to dismiss taking time out every day to meditate or anchor oneself in the present moment. However, the excuse is simply a thought and seeing that we have over 60,000 thoughts a day, we can easily realize that downtime is necessary.

Just last weekend, I went for a walk in a beautiful park in London and left my mobile phone and watch in doors. It was incredibly freeing not to be tied to man-made time and to be in touch with the flow of nature, rather than being a slave to psychological numbers on a watch. It was a wonderful way to directly be in harmony with Nature.

If you can put aside at least a couple of hours every week where you are not bound to the clock and can be just present with no “digital” distractions, you’ll be far more effective in your line of work for the rest of the week, releasing anxiety, worry and negative emotions. Regular massages are also an invaluable way to release trapped energy in the body and promote emotional well-being. If you can put aside 10 to 15 minutes a day, even better. If not, once a week is a great start.

Infinite Consciousness

woman meditating1 200x300 Infinite Consciousness

Dear friend,

Have you ever heard the expression “infinite consciousness”? When we reflect on this description, we come to realize that nothing in the universe really dies. Everything changes from one thing to another. Consider a caterpillar that transforms into a beautiful butterfly or an acorn into a tree.

But what about us? Who are we? We cannot be our human body. After all, the human body recycles over 98% of all of the matter in the body. We have a new skin once a month. At an atomic molecular level, we have a new liver every 6 weeks and a new stomach lining every five days. Every year, our body dies and transforms into a new one. We, however, do not die through the process.

One might say: “I am my brain” however, the brain is an organ that cannot function without a mind or Soul to direct it.  Einstein’s brain is stored in a science lab in the USA but, without Albert being there to use it, it is of no use whatsoever.

One might say: “I am my mind”. However, when we meditate, we realize that we can think but our thoughts are not who we are. We often say, “I think so” or “I think this or that …” but who is the “I” behind the person thinking?

The “I” represents a timeless field of consciousness having a physical human experience. In the East, this is called “pure consciousness”. In the West, we call it the “Soul” or “Spirit”.  At a deeper level of consciousness (a field of infinite potential), there is no “I” because everything is connected in this physical universe. We are all unique expressions of pure consciousness experiencing the human journey. Imagine that a water drop represents the Soul and the ocean represents Pure consciousness. The water drop is part of the ocean, but each and every drop (Soul) can have a unique experience before returning back to the great ocean (Pure consciousness).

When we meditate on this, we realize that our worries and day to day anxious thoughts are not worthy of our time. Yes, we have to live in the world (pay our bills, be of service, fulfil our duties etc), however we do not have to be “of” this world (becoming a robot programmed into a limited structure).

Joy

One Woman Retreat 300x274 Joy

Dear friend,

I hope you’re good today. Joy is one of our natural states that, contrary to popular belief, is NOT dependent on any activity or external event.  Although life can be emotionally painful at times, underneath the molecular turbulence there is eternal joy. People who practise regular meditation and yoga will fully subscribe to this. Even in the more scientific approach to meditation (transcendental meditation), neuroscientists have uncovered that deep below our conscious level of thinking is a great stillness of mind, a sense of inner-joy and warm bliss.

For years, I would say: “When I get this, I’ll be joyful”, “When I get that cheque, I’ll be at peace,” “When I meet my heroes, I’ll be over the moon”, “When this happens, I’ll be happy” etc.  The problem with this type of thinking is that whenever I did meet a “hero” or receive a “sweet pay cheque”, the excitement always diminished very quickly. This left me in an addictive cycle of anticipation: “I’ll be joyful when I accomplish the next goal.” There is nothing wrong with creating goals. I write new goal lists every day.  However they will not bring me true inner-joy. Goals are designed to help the human race progress and to make us grow; nothing else. But to feel joy needs no planning or mental/physical activity.

I learned that main-stream society programmed me to need reasons or  “special occasions” to be joyful.  What a waste of life to put a price tag or a schedule on feeling good? Right now, in this very moment, we can feel joy without having to attach any conditions to it.  The fact that we can say to ourselves: “I’ll be joyful when this happens” proves that we have the power to feel and to choose when we would like to feel good. If we have the power to be joyful, why deny ourselves such a great thing? It’s something to reflect on.

Dream

dream Dream

Dear friend,

As human beings we have an incredible gift: the ability to dream a new potential reality. We have the ability, through the mind, body & soul to make an intention (a conscious desire) to visualize our dreams, to polish this image within the depths of our imagination and then manifest our goals through belief, action and by helping others along the way.

Life, in its essence, is a magical journey. Even wonderful creatures such as dolphins do not have the ability to completely change their internal and external reality but we can! This of course, brings a sense of responsibility for the greater good of humanity and planet Earth. We can literally sit down for a moment, close our eyes, breathe deeply and ask ourselves (through the human heart): “If I could co-create a new dream with the universe, what would it look like and how would I feel about it coming true?” Once we know exactly what resonates with our Soul, (pure consciousness) we are on the right track to be of service to the world through our talents and skills.

To dream is one of the most worthy things to do, if followed by action. This universe is like a blank canvas that is shaped through the evolution of consciousness. In human terms, we are infinite consciousness that can create new stories and realities in the human experience. This is what all of the great artists, writers, inventors and spiritual teachers have done throughout human history.

How is it possible that we can fly from London to Milan within 3 hours? How is it possible that we can send an email to a friend in Tokyo, while sitting in a rain forest in Brazil? How is it that scientists and doctors are uncovering new ways of repairing the brain and the body/nervous system through neuroplasticity and cognitive and behavioural neuroscience? Where did the vision come from to make these things possible and what inspired it? They originated from a group of brave human beings going deep within and following the direction from the heart in order to build a new dream in the human mind. This dream was then expressed through the human body, permitting the dreamers to take action. We can do this too and we are - every second of the day. The ideal here is to focus on the positive (create a positive canvas). Remember, everything starts with a dream.

Questions

water drop 300x200 QuestionsDear friend,

Human beings have one of the most powerful tools to co-create their own reality with the universe through the power of asking questions. When we ask a question, we immediately open ourselves up to experiencing a new unborn potential reality. It is our questions that lead to answers and this ultimately creates our perception of the world. The art of asking questions is to ask empowering ones which will lead us in a new positive direction.

For example, see how you feel after asking the following questions: “How would I like to live?” “How can I improve my health & well-being?”  How can I be loving & compassionate? “How would I like to design my day to day activities?” “What sort of career would I like to have?”  “How can I be grateful?” “What would it feel like to be living my ideal life?” All of these are positive questions which will lead us to answers that can bring dramatic changes into our lives.

Now let’s see what happens when you ask negative questions: “Why does it never work out?” “How do they always get to be so lucky?” “Why can’t I earn as much as he does?” “Why can’t I ever get my break?” “How did she manage to pull that off?” These questions can only lead you to think and feel negative emotions, which will disarm any chance of co-creating a positive life with the universe.

It makes sense to ask positive questions once a day, letting go of the outcome (letting the universe gently reveal the answers in good time) and continue to be appreciative for what one has. This action of co-creation always works and brings a sense of inner-peace, inner-calmness and a joy for living. It is always wise to ask questions after a deep meditation. This stills the mind and leaves us open for pure consciousness to guide us to a playful reality.

Moving Forward

9 sunset 300x187 Moving Forward

Dear friend,

The 1st principle in manifesting your dreams, which is a natural Law of the universe, is: “grow or die”. In life, we are either moving forward or going backwards. In reality, there is no such thing as maintenance. To “maintain” is to “stand still”, which is actually sliding backwards. When our goal is to “maintain” we actually lose momentum and fall short.

When we observe Mother Nature, She does not maintain or move backwards. She does, however, evolve (grow/pushing forward); creating new creatures, landscapes and distributes infinite Energy in and around the cosmos.

There are several Laws in the universe and one of them is the Law of Perpetual Transmutation which states: “Everything is Energy; Energy cannot be created or destroyed. Energy is either increasing or decreasing, growing or dying”. Seeing that we are a mass of Energy, we are subject to this Law. This was proven scientifically over eighty years ago. When we uncover the great ancient spiritual texts, we are warned to never lose pace with the times, to always move forward and to evolve internally.

Eric Hoffer once said: “In times of change learners inherit the earth while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.”

Whatever you do, please do not be a person who is “beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists”. Moving with the times is essential but your own personal growth is even more important. Did you know that if you spent several minutes every day trying to improve in one particular area in your life, you could master that?

Let’s suppose we have a person who wants to become more effective playing the piano. She has been taking lessons for a few months but has never really given her very best. One day, she decides to wake up an extra fifteen minutes early every day to allow herself twelve minutes to practise. Within twelve months of creating a new habit she has hugely improved and evolved as a pianist.  Was this a huge task to perform in order to reach her goal of playing the piano well? Not really!

By taking simple small steps like applying a new positive daily habit, we can achieve outstanding results. If, we continue to stretch ourselves, give everything we’ve got and move with the times, we’ll be more than OK. We will in fact be in harmony with the power that flows through the universe: Infinite Energy.

Keep Flowing

BeautifulWaterStream 300x186 Keep FlowingDear friend,

I hope you’re good today. Life is a beautiful journey. However, at times it can be very challenging. It’s human nature to want to advance, to create, to serve, to live in better surroundings and to advance in our activities. There is nothing wrong with desiring a better life. This is healthy! Some spiritual teachers will argue by saying that to desire is the route of all suffering however, to not want to desire, is a desire in itself. So, let’s not fall for the misnomer of pretending we don’t want a better life.

The reality is this: to gain anything worthwhile for the long haul takes a lot of intelligent work (actions) and of course, perseverance. Sadly, millions of people spend hours dreaming, thinking and talking about what they want in life. However, thinking and talking isn’t enough. Action is required. Unfortunately, when these people start to put in the action and come up against their “perceived” obstacles, they quit.

If we investigate anyone who has contributed something special to the human experience and manifested their hearts’ dreams, quitting was never an option. They came up against countless obstacles and challenges and perhaps they had to change their game plan (strategy) along the way, however, they kept on trying until eventually it paid off.

I’m sure that you have at least one example in your own experience when you made a decision to go for something and never gave up. Within a reasonably short period of time, you made it happen. It worked!!!

Having a persistent attitude is no different from working out on a particular muscle in the gym. If you continue to work out, your muscles will continue to be strong. If you stop, however, the human muscles weaken. This is exactly the same with our attitudes towards life. We can, through habit, learn to cultivate a positive attitude that embraces challenges rather than fearing them.

The next time you come up against a challenging moment, pause and take several deep breaths. Breathe deeply and pay attention to the rhythm of your breathing (this is called meditation). You will instantly feel a sense of calm and peace within. Once you are feeling serene, move swiftly into action. Never take an action or make a decision when feeling anxious or worried.

Master Your Luck

Sky View Field of Chamomille WaLp TW10 300x225 Master Your LuckDear friend,

The word “luck” is persistently used in most societies and cultures. We hear people credit the word “luck” after a successful or happy spell in their lives. We hear of people in music, entertainment, sports and banking who credit luck as their secret weapon, “I was lucky to get a break” “I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time” “We had a bit of luck playing today” etc. The question is, does luck really exist or is it a mythology? If you want to believe in luck then go for it, however what someone really means when they say they were lucky is that they had a vision, worked hard, believed in their task, put in extra effort and went the extra mile, helping others along the way and capitalizing on every opportunity that presents itself.

In this universe, which is predominantly governed by the Laws of physics, “The Law of Cause & Effect” i.e. Karma, there are no accidents. The ideas and actions that you produce today are shaping your “future” experiences. Think about it. When someone declares they had a lucky break by being in the right place at the right time, was it not their thoughts, feelings & actions that guided them there? They had to make a decision to be at the place of their lucky break before they could actually take any action.

The truth is your thoughts and feelings create your perception of the world. Your perception becomes your reality. If you can learn to master your thought patterns, and develop emotional intelligence (emotional stability), you will have a more pleasant life.

We can say that we make our own luck however, never be fooled into thinking that the universe gives out luck like it’s a game of dice. After all, the world isn’t a poker table and God does not gamble. We have a choice how we want to live but it takes plenty of intelligent action and commitment.  Make your own luck from this very moment and give everything you’ve got into the stream of life. Then watch what happens. In good time.
